VOLUNTEERING

Children’s Hospital’s research institute often has opportunities for volunteers. To be considered, please send an email to the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute human resources department, at chorihr@chori.org, that includes the following:

• A short cover letter introducing yourself, your background, your goals and your availability, including how many daytime hours you can devote each week to a volunteer position
• Your résumé, including any science or lab courses you have completed.

Your email will be distributed to all research institute principal investigators.

Each investigator leads the activities in their particular research lab and will review all volunteer emails received. Each investigator will decide to contact you based on whether your combination of skills, background and availability are needed in their lab.

If you do not hear back within two weeks, you may resend your email to chorihr@chori.org.
