Children's Walnut Creek specialty clinic to expand cardiology and orthopaedics services
Children's Hospital's Walnut Creek specialty clinic will offer more cardiology and orthopaedics outpatient services starting August 2005
Children's Walnut Creek clinic at 106 La Casa Via gets a face-lift soon to make your visit there more comfortable. More specialist staff and more specialist hours will also make it easier for families to get appointment with Children's cardiology and orthopaedics experts.
For example, cardiologist Gregg Helton, MD, will be available to see patients three times a week and will also offer fetal echocardiography services two mornings a week. All the equipment necessary for comprehensive cardiology examinations will be installed during the satellite facility's upgrade.
The Orthopaedics department will also expand its Walnut Creek presence, adding additional sports medicine and scoliosis specialists. Scott Hoffinger, MD, will add another day to his Walnut Creek schedule, seeing patients twice a week. In September Monica Kogan, MD, and Jim Policy, MD, will each begin seeing patients there one day a week. A fluoroscan machine will be installed to help them all provide more efficient diagnosis and treatment.
All four physicians will continue seeing patients at Children's Hospital's Oakland facility, but each also looks forward to better serving their patients in Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County and along the I-680 corridor.
