"CHORI-bar Nutritious Punch for Poor Eating Habits"

CHORI's Bruce Ames, PhD, and colleagues developed a tasty and nutritious "CHORI-bar" that improves the risk of cardiovascular disease, cognitive decline, and anti-oxidant defenses. The bar is low-calorie, fruit-based, and restores the optimal nutritional balance in people with poor diets. At only 110 calories, the bar is also a potential weight reduction tool. 

"Oakland Children's Hospital Gets Grants Worth $3 Million"

Children's was awarded nearly $3 million by Department of Health and Human Service's Affordable Care Act to expand and improve community health centers and serve more patients. The grants will fund the expansion of fund Primary Care and Teen Clinic's facilities and services.
