Senator Boxer To Visit Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland

San Francisco, CA - U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) will visit Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland on Saturday, August 5th at Noon.

Boxer and Representative Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) will be led on a short tour of the facility by hospital President & CEO Frank Tiedemann, and then will address hospital staff, patients and their families. Boxer will award the hospital with her Health Care Champion Award for their innovative work in pediatric care and research. The hospital is the Bay Area’s only independent free standing children’s hospital and is the busiest pediatric trauma center between Los Angeles and Seattle.
