Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland Extends Contract With Anthem Blue Cross

Children Covered By Anthem Blue Cross Continue to Receive Uninterrupted Care at Only East Bay Pediatric Hospital

Oakland, Calif. - Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland announced today that the regional, not-for-profit medical center and Anthem Blue Cross have reached a new contract agreement. Children’s, the only pediatric hospital in the East Bay, will continue to be a network facility for children insured by Anthem Blue Cross.

“Children’s Hospital Oakland is pleased to have reached this new agreement with Anthem Blue Cross because we will continue to be able to provide the best healthcare for the children of Northern California,” said Bertram Lubin, MD, Children’s President and CEO. “At the same time, this new contract ensures that the hospital receives equitable reimbursement for the healthcare services we provide to children covered by Anthem Blue Cross.”
