Children's ambassadors will greet you in the entry lobbies.
Visiting hours
Friends and relatives, including brothers and sisters, may visit between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., seven days a week.
Who may visit
Parents and guardians are welcome at all times, day or night. Because space is limited, only one parent/guardian may spend the night in a child’s room.
Unfortunately we don’t have space for young visitors and siblings to spend the night. Please make arrangements for the care of your child’s brothers and sisters.
Because of limited space, please, no more than four visitors in a room at one time.
Hand washing
For everyone’s health and safety, visitors must wash their hands, just as our staff does, before entering a patient’s room. There are clean restrooms on every floor to accommodate you.
Preparing to visit a sick or injured child
Child Life specialists are available to help prepare children to visit a sick or injured sibling. Please call (510) 428-3520.
Special guidelines
If you are visiting a child in the Intensive Care Nursery, Intensive Care Unit or the Immunocompromised Unit, special visitation guidelines may apply. Theses guidelines are posted in these areas.
