Important Visitor Information: Flu Precautions are in effect at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland.

Visitation Policy During Respiratory Virus Season Español

In order to protect everyone during the flu and respiratory virus season, the Department of Infection Control has implemented visitation precautions:

No visitors with a fever, sore throat, cough, fever, cold, diarrhea, or rash may visit Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland.
As always, please cover your cough/sneeze and clean your hands frequently.
Only healthy visitors are allowed on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of the hospital.
Children under 10 may not visit patients in isolation.
Children under age 16 are not permitted in the Children's Center.

Visitors to 5-South, 5-East, NICU and PICU:

Must be at least 5 years old.
Will be asked at the ambassador's desk to complete the Visitor Screening Questionnaire and show the Ambassador the completed form.
When cleared to visit, visitors may proceed to the ward and must give the screening form to the ward clerk in the NICU or the patient's bedside nurse in all other locations.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

This visitation policy will continue until respiratory viral infections subside (which was mid-May in 2012).

Política de visitas durante la temporada del virus respiratorio:

Sólo se permiten a los visitantes saludables en los pisos 3º, 4º, y 5º del hospital.
Sólo se permiten a los visitantes saludables en los pisos 3º, 4º, y 5º del hospital.
Las personas con tos, fiebre, gripa, diarrea, o salpullido no pueden visitar a los pacientes en ninguna parte del hospital.

Los visitantes a 5 South, 5 East, NICU y PICU:

Deben tener por lo menos 5 años de edad
Deben llenar un cuestionario de evaluación de visitantes y mostrar el formulario lleno al Representante.

Si se le autoriza la visita, usted puede proceder hasta la sala y debe dar el formulario de evaluación al secretario de la sala en NICU o a la enfermera de cabecera del paciente (todos los demás lugares).
