Staff works with schools, clinics, and administrations; as well as with juvenile justice, social services, group homes, residential care facilities, and violence prevention and advocacy groups.


The CHORI Summer Research Program
In collaboration with Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI), the Division co-directs the summer research program for college and high school students.

CHAMPS: Preparing Future Health Champions for over 10 years
(Formely known as FACES for the Future)

CHAMPS stands for the Community Health & Adolescent Mentoring Program for Success at Children's Hospital Oakland.

In partnership with the East Bay Health Careers Collaborative and local high school health academies, colleges, universities, medical schools and residency programs, this three-year internship program is designed to introduce underrepresented minority high school students to the health professions.
