Asthma is the single largest admitting diagnosis at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland. We’re committed to helping kids with asthma breathe easier and helping our communities do a better job of understanding the causes and conditions that contribute to asthma.
Besides acute medical care to treat asthma by pulmonologists who specialize in treating kids and only kids, Children’s Hospital has an extensive program of asthma education in our community, including visiting doctors in their offices to help them better understand asthma, and classes for patients and families to help them cope with and manage asthma better.
The following is a list of our upcoming asthma education sessions for patients and families. There are three separate age-appropriate, one-time workshops, each two-hours long.
