Where to board the BART shuttle
At the MacArthur BART station: The shuttle stops in front of the MacArthur BART station. Look for the purple shuttle van with the Children’s Hospital logo.
At the Hospital: The BART shuttle van picks up at the hospital main entrance.
When the BART Shuttle is Not Operating
Bus from the MacArthur BART station to Children’s Hospital: Take AC Transit bus line #18 from the stop located on the north-east corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Way at 40th Street. Ride the bus 3 minutes, direction north (toward Berkeley.) Get off at the south-east corner of 53rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Walk to MLK Jr. Way & 52nd St, Oakland. (2 min.)
Bus from Children’s Hospital to MacArthur BART: Cross Martin Luther King Jr. Way at 52nd Street and walk to the north-west corner of MLK Jr. Way & 52nd St. Take the AC Transit bus line #18, direction south (toward downtown Oakland.) Get off at the south-west corner of MLK Jr. Way & 40th St. Walk along MLK Jr. Way and turn right at 40th Street to the MacArthur BART station.
Taxi
Taking a taxi from MacArthur BART to the hospital: To reach the taxi stand at the MacArthur BART station, leave the station and turn left on 40th Street.
Taking a taxi from the hospital to the MacArthur BART station: At the hospital you may ask the ambassador to call a taxi for you. The taxi fare for the ride between the MacArthur BART station and Children’s Hospital is about $6.
Getting to the Claremont Avenue offices
The BART shuttle does not travel directly to the Claremont offices. Please transfer to the Claremont Shuttle at the hospital main entrance. This shuttle operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
