The Child Advocacy Network lobbies legislators to improve healthcare for kids.
Advocacy alerts are calls to action about legislation affecting children and Children’s Hospital.
Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland works hard to provide world-class care for all kids. One of the ways we care for children is by advocating with legislators and government agencies for improved pediatric healthcare. You can help.
Join Children’s CAN (Child Advocacy Network).
CAN members receive updates and alerts about state and federal legislation affecting children’s access to healthcare. We make it easy for you to email your representatives and have your voice heard on these issues.

Participate in the Children’s Summit.
Children’s hosts an annual summit meeting to bring community members together to strengthen advocacy efforts. Previous meetings have focused on clinical partnerships, how to advocate for children, and what our children and families need from advocacy. In November 2006, the Children's Summit will be held regionally in Alameda, San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties.
