Fellowship Program Compensation & Benefits

The Pediatric Hematology and Oncology department at Children’s Hospital & Research
Center Oakland offers an excellent package of health, vision, and dental insurance
to our fellows.  Additional benefits include a pension plan and disability and long term care insurance.

Fellows receive 4 weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to one week of paid educational leave.

Fellowship Employment Manual

In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
(ACGME) and the American Board of Pediatrics, the Fellowship Employment Manual
delineates the clinical and research responsibilities of the fellows as well as the terms and
conditions of employment and benefits. The clinical and research curricula and educational
program are also included in the manual.
