Learn the simple skills that could save a life. American Heart Association’s Heartsaver®  First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.  

Course Includes:

    • Adult, Child and Infant CPR
    • Hands-on AED training with trainer AEDs
    • Infant CPR
    • Child CPR and AED use
    • Adult, Child and Infant choking

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and AED Course Completion Card that is valid for 2 years.

Course Length: 2.5 Hours

The Families in Recovery Staying Together (F.I.R.S.T.) program is a project of Early Intervention Services’ Early Childhood Mental Health Program at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland.

Services are free to families with children aged 0-5 who are on full scope Medi-Cal.

DESCRIPTION

A farmers market at Children’s? You can bet your green onions on it. Look for the booths every Tuesday on 52nd St., under the Outpatient Center overhang.

An organic vegetable grower from Salinas, who grows everything from tomatoes and green onions to strawberries and lettuce is here providing exceptional farm-fresh organic produce. This grower is affiliated with the Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association (ALBA), who provides educational and business opportunities for farm workers and aspiring farmers to grow and sell crops grown on organic farms in Monterey County.
