Hilltop Pediatrics

Meet the Staff

During your visit to Hilltop Pediatrics, you and your child may interact these staff members.

Medical Assistants

Our Medical Assistants [MAs] are bilingual in English and Spanish to better serve our diverse population. They are well trained and will greet you with a smile. The MA’s will prepare your child for the visit with their pediatrician by taking a medical history, vital signs, collect and prepare laboratory specimens and any other tests needed based on your child’s visit type. They work closely with your pediatrician to ensure that your concerns are addressed and that your immunizations are up to date and any school physical paperwork is completed.

Scribe

Our medical scribe plays a crucial role in allowing UBCP Hilltop doctors to spend more time with patients. They document the patients’ medical histories and physical exams as advised by the pediatrician. Medical scribes are trained in medical terminology, and medical documentation and have received specific training in using the practice’s Electronic Health Records (EHR). They do not perform any clinical duties, nor does she provide direct patient care.

Patient Services Representatives

The Patient Service Representatives [PSR] work at the front desk and will start the appointment check-in process. The PSR ensures that your Electronic Medical Record is up-to-date with your most current demographic and insurance information. They will verify your insurance information, take any co-pays that are due at the time of your visit and they will also help you complete any necessary paperwork. The PSRs also assist you when scheduling appointments by phone and take patient messages for the doctors. Our PSRs are the best. They work very hard to promote a positive first impression of the clinic, and they understand that when children are sick parents turn to the advice of their pediatrician.
