With Safety Precautions In-place, We Are Scheduling Appointments

Corona Virus Cleaning Safety Precautions

We are pleased to announce the re-opening of all essential medical services.

We strongly encourage you to reach out to your primary care provider’s or specialist’s office to schedule the care your child needs, including routine and preventive care, immunizations, allergy shots, eye exams, physical therapy, surgeries and mental health services.

Enhanced Safety Precautions In-place

Here is what we are doing to provide the best care for your child and enhance everyone’s safety during this corona virus pandemic.

  • Daily Health Symptom Screenings: All of our employees, faculty, staff, patients and visitors are screened every day before they are allowed to enter our buildings.

  • Visitor Restrictions: Only two primary caregivers per patient. Only ONE primary caregiver at a time may visit the patient. No other visitors are allowed. We understand this is hard for our patients and families.

  • Face Masking: We require all employees, patients and visitors to wear a surgical mask when onsite.

  • Physical Distancing: We have rearranged our clinics and internal spaces so that patients, families and employees can maintain appropriate physical distance.

  • COVID-19 Testing: Patients being admitted to the hospital, or having a procedure performed that might put others at risk, will be tested for COVID-19.

  • COVID-19 Drive-Through Testing Sites: We have drive-through/walk-up testing sites in Oakland and San Francisco.

  • Hospital-grade Cleaning Protocols. We disinfect our premises daily and sterilize all instruments between every patient, as well as at the start and end of each day.

COVID-19 Related Concerns

For questions about possible COVID-19 symptoms (such as fever, cough and shortness of breath), contact your child’s primary care provider or consider using our coronavirus symptom-checker through your MyChart account. If you need urgent after hours advice, please call your child’s primary care provider’s office number to reach an on-call physician. If your child’s symptoms are severe, you should dial 911 and go to the emergency room for evaluation.
